Dear friends who are thinking about voting for Mitt Romney,
When you read about his or his surrogates’ comments about gays, replace “gays” with my name.
Examples:Devynn shouldn’t be allowed to marry.
Devynn getting married is a threat to families.
Devynn cannot be a good parent.
Devynn doesn’t love, it’s only lust.
Devynn is ‘fixable’ with electroshock therapy and psychological torture.
Devynn is what is wrong with this country.
If Devynn can marry, we should just let people marry animals.
Being Devynn is a choice.
Im not saying I’m gay or anything, but what if I was? Would all of those statements be right. The ‘gay movement’ is about people who are in love and want to spend their lives together. It’s about legal recognition and protection of my commitment to another person.
There are a lot of issues out there, but this is one I will never let go.
I cannot vote for someone who sees some Americans as second-class citizens. I can’t vote for someone who doesn’t believe in equal rights for all people. I hope you realize that by voting for Mitt Romney you are saying ‘Don’t want you to be happy’ and ‘your love is less then my love’
